Andrew Woodward is a Chartered Civil Engineer with more than 30 years experience gained in the delivery complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects. For more than 20 years, Andrew worked on the front line with major contractors delivering projects such as motorways, bridge works, marine works, oil facilities and power stations. During this time Andrew developed a fundamental understanding of how Contractors, Employers and other parties to construction contracts operate in many parts of the world. During these early years Andrew also became involved in a number of arbitrations and adjudications, leading Andrew to experience first hand the emotional roller-coaster that can accompany a party’s fortunes at formal dispute resolution.

For the last 10 years and drawing on his extensive experience within the construction industry, Andrew has focused his attention within the ADR field, heading technical matters within an international construction consultancy and working with many international contractors and employers. Based out of Qatar in the Middle East, and with projects spanning from Hong Kong to the UK, Andrew has provided expert testimony at international arbitration multiple times, specialising in matters of delay, quantum and construction project management.
